June 07, 2022
Michael Jackson joins former President Jimmy Carter, co-chairman of the Heal Our Children/Heal The World initiative, in Atlanta, GA to help promote The Atlanta Project’s Immunization drive on May 5, 1993. It was the most comprehensive immunization program ever mounted in the U.S. at that time, with 17,000 children immunized in just five days.

On this date in 1979, President Jimmy Carter declared the month of June as National Black Music Month in the US. Today it is known as African American Music Appreciation Month, and it celebrates the musical influences that make up some of the most loved songs in the world. What do you think Michael’s biggest musical contributions are to this heritage?
