Michael Jackson, former President Jimmy Carter, and Emmanuel Lewis promote Atlanta Projects Immunization Drive May 5, 1993

“I believe in my heart that the greatest challenge facing our nation—and the world—is to improve the quality of life for our children. President Carter and The Atlanta Project share my deep concern about the suffering of children all over the country.” – Michael Jackson

On this day in 1993, Michael joined former President Jimmy Carter, co-chairman of the Heal Our Children/Heal The World initiative, in Atlanta, GA to help promote The Atlanta Project’s Immunization drive. 17,000 children were immunized in just 5 days – the most comprehensive immunization program ever mounted in the U.S. at that time. #MJHumanitarian
