Michael Jackson’s short film for “Cry” was one of two short films produced for recordings from Invincible, Michael’s sixth album as an adult solo performer. As a single, “Cry” reached the Top 40 in six countries, including the United Kingdom, Spain, France and The Netherlands.

The simple, impactful “Cry” short film features people of different ages and ethnic backgrounds holding hands across natural landmarks in California and Nevada, in keeping with the song’s message of unity and harmony. As with the short film to “Heal the World,” Michael does not appear in “Cry.”
