New York, NY – “MICHAEL JACKSON’S THIS IS IT” made motion picture history as the highest grossing concert film of all time. And now, the two-disc album companion to the movie Michael Jackson’s This is It released by Sony Music’s Epic Records makes its first week debut in the #1 spot of the Billboard Top 200 album chart, as well as the Soundtrack album chart. U.S. sales of the album - which features new hit song “This is It” – totaled 373,100 units this week according to Nielsen Soundscan – this figure does not include significant sales from non-traditional retailers. Sales figures from other parts of the world are still being tallied although the album did hit #1 in 16 other countries including Canada, Japan, France, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Turkey, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the Middle East and Colombia and Top-3 in the UK, Australia, Argentina, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain. A simultaneous #1 album and a #1 documentary film has not happened since 1971 when the Rolling Stones did it with the album Sticky Fingers and movie Gimme Shelter.
Michael Jackson albums now occupy the top five spots of Billboard catalog album chart at #1, #3 and #4; his Number Ones album is this year’s best-selling overall album year to date as of this week. Throughout his career, Michael Jackson has spent a total of 51 weeks at #1 on the Billboard album chart. Only The Beatles and Elvis Presley have spent more weeks at the top. His last #1 was Invincible in 2001 although Thriller hit the top of the Billboard catalog album chart last October.
Disc one features the original album masters of some of Michael's biggest hits such as "Billie Jean," "Smooth Criminal," "Human Nature," and "Thriller" arranged in the same sequence as they appear in the film. The disc ends with two versions of "This Is It," the original and an orchestral version. Disc two offers fans a rare listen to the early demo versions of classics "She's Out Of My Life," "Wanna Be Startin'," "Somethin'," and "Beat It." This disc also features a recently discovered spoken word poem from Michael Jackson entitled "Planet Earth."
Michael Jackson's This Is It also includes a 36-page, commemorative booklet featuring exclusive photos of Michael from his last rehearsal.

I do not think there are words that can fully explain what I feel for daddy and all his songs. I love more than anything in the world. I get where he is, but I know I deserve. Dad, will you save, you will forgive me, I'll take you there. Some tell my dad and I say that everywhere that they will fortune. I never like that. I call "Dad" because I feel the lack of a real father (I have one biological and one step that I see rarely). "Father" means to me the man who takes care of you from the shadows, like any price to make you happy ... without asking anything in return than LOVE. I love Michael Jackson hope he sees me and does not believe them and takes care of me. I love you, Daddy! I love the best rpiueten mine! I idolize, God of Music!

this is it has 2 be my favorite song now. michael jackson is my idol, he makes me feel like i can do anything especially when he sings.the best thing about him is his personality, its like he cares for anybody especially a person in need. And his smile is so beautiful its like watching a movie and it goes with his brown eyes. most of all i love as in a big fan i know prince from what i read and hear. i wish someone who see this knows that im not just saying this because im a fan in saying it because i care and i feel like i know mj. its hard 2 get over his death, even thinking about it makes me want 2 cry but i know he is still in my heart making me feel invisible.

MJ's Untimely Death has had a HUGE IMPACT on my LIFE. WE, MJ FANS WORLDWIDE, are STILL in DEEP PAIN, SORROW AND GRIEF since MJ's Tragic and Untimely Death!!

Second, I've come to see and understand more thru time, since Michael's passing, that WE FANS LOVED MICHAEL, MICHAEL LOVED US MORE, BUT GOD LOVED MICHAEL MOST!! I believe that ONLY GOD knows why he called our BELOVED Michael home to HEAVEN in which to us Michael was GONE WAY TOOO SOON TO HEAVEN. BUT, I know that MJ went to GOD's LOVING and WAITING ARMS!! I truly BELIEVE that Michael FULFILLED GOD's PLAN FOR HIS LIFE on EARTH. You can look back OVER Michael's AMAZING LIFE OF EXTREME HIGHS AND LOWS (I"m ll years younger than MJ) and you can see GOD"s SPECIAL ANOINTING on Michael's Life.

Third, To me, Michael wasn't just a GENIUS, GIFTED ENTERTAINER, BUT rather A VERY SPECIAL, LOVING HUMAN BEING and GIFT FROM GOD to spread a VERY IMPORTANT Message of LOVE, PEACE, FORGIVENESS and HARMONY across the GLOBE, WORLDWIDE through his BEAUTIFUL MUSIC and LIFE!! Do you know that the name MICHAEL means "A Special Heavenly Angel close to GOD". Of All of Katherine and Joseph Jackson's 9 children, their 7th Child was named MICHAEL!!! That wasn't by mistake BUT rather by GOD"s DIVINE' PLAN from the beginning!! Just like GOD has a DIVINE PLAN for ALL OF OUR LIVES TO TOUCH AND IMPACT THIS WORLD IN OUR OWN SMALL and UNIQUE WAY!!

I believe the THIS IS IT Concert Movie is a BEAUTIFUL TESTIMONY of MJ's LIFE, HEART and SOUL left behind for MJ's Family, Children and Fans to ENJOY FOREVER!! Death is Never Easy and It's SO FINAL, COLD and PAINFUL. Also, the Loved Ones are left behind to bear the PAIN, GRIEF and SORROW!!. But you have to know that GOD is here for US too to help with the GRIEVING process by giving us his AMAZING and ABUNDANCE OF LOVE, PEACE, GRACE and MERCY!!!

I'm sorry it took Michael's death for him to be able to reclaim his throne on the charts. Now that Michael is a goldmine for Sony again....
Maybe they'll release his short film for One More Chance that they said "...they would never ever release."
I'm sure my fellow die-hard fans remember Sony releasing that statement back in 2004. MJ had to have the song play over images when he released it.
Sony , can you please release the Michael's short film aka music video for One More Chance. The new release off his Number Ones album that is in the top five.

Bless you MJ, you are an awesome talent. I have always loved your music and NEVER believed those ridiculos lies people said about you. You always wanted peace and love in the world and showed it in your songs. I have seen "This is IT" 4 times and not done yet. I just smile and tap my toes throughout the movie (and cry). I am so grateful to Ken Ortega for showing this movie/concert. It just showed the world you were still at the TOP of your game and a major talent. Your voice and dancing were awesome. I agree you will always be the MOST TALENTED MUSICIAN OF ALL TIME. Those concerts in London were going to be AWESOME and I am so glad we got a glimpse of what it was going to be like. As usual you were going to give 150% to your fans and show them the show of a lifetime. God Bless You Michael! I will miss you and continue playing your songs forever. VH

WOW. I never thought it'd be THAT popular! I have the This Is It 2-disc soundtrack and it is so, so, so, so, so GOOD! The song "This Is It" is an awesome song--it's really sweet and the first time I heard it, I cried! I also saw the movie and it is the best movie I have ever seen!

The day my name, me and Michael! It is said that St. Michael has the keys of heaven, the angel who gets you to heaven!
I am very sad, can not explain to anyone what is in my heart that only he who has blood on Michael knows what I feel!
It is our day, I'll celebrate here on earth with his family listening to Michael, and he is now next to God, in his arms and tries to ease the pain but I can not!
We were again last night film is the 3rd time, I'm not sick of him look like Michael, to listen the voice of the angel, I feel the warmth of his heart! My King is awesome!
I have DVD with this film, you must defend this movie and the DVD format, just like all the fans in the world you can admire the great talent of the world!
Unfortunately the album THIS IS IT has not appeared in Romania and do not understand why????
