I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...the best thing I can do for him is to keep his memory alive as the compassionate musical genius he was, to defend his memory against further slander, and bring his music to a new generation that may understand him and appreciate him in a way that we failed. I feel that America needs to mend our ways. I wish the Dianne Sawyers and Bashirs of the world would apologize and that the press would also learn and turn from their hounding of successful people. I cannot watch either of these reporters any more without a disdain. I want to do all I can to clear his name and bring appreciation for the musician and human being he was. I wish I could do more.
