I'm a fan because of so many reasons. Not just because of his amazing dancemoves, his incredible music or fantastic video's. I'm a fan because of the person and his message. He is one of the few people in this world that reaches millions with positivity and love. He talks of respecting people for who they are, not for what they look like. He tells us to care about other people and especially the children. It seems such a simple message, but strangely only few people send it out these days.
I've started to love Michael when I hit puberty. I felt really bad about myself and was very lost. But even though I doubted most things in life, I never doubted Michael and his way of thinking. I felt loved by him. And I think a lot of fans feel that way. He tells us that everybody deserves to be loved, and that is nice to know, when you doubt it yourself.
I was bullied and mocked for being a fan, for 17 years, but it never changed me being a fan. It's easy to mock people and be negative about them. But it is so much harder to keep believing and doing what you think is right. But I've never thought that being a fan was wrong. I never doubted that he was innocent of the horrible things they said about Michael. Because a man that teaches love and respect, could never do something so bad.
It is amazing to see so many people who feel like me and try to make the world a little better, by being positive and loving towards each other. Bless you and bless Michael!
