Yes,remember to get your email address verified if not, the respective signatures won't be taken into account..
Wish Michael will be the winner.
Just signed it...thanks for the link...I want Michael to be acknowledged for helping others.
he deserves it so i signed.
already signed it.
It'd be awseome for him to get this but its hurtful knowing he cant personally accept it if he were to win it.
Id love for Michael to get this but it breaks my heart that he cant personally accept it if he were to get it.
Hi,
Somebody mentioned that his acts were working only on more personal level. Yes and I am thinking why only the academics of this planet should be smart enough to decide who gets the Nobel prize? And not the easy crowd? I believe in this case crowd is smarter. If someone is able to work on personal level ant touche the hearts of people his/her contribution to peace is larger and stronger even less visible and less measurable.
Reminder...
Most of the people that have sor far signed the "Change of Nobel Peace Prize rule - Michael Jackson" petition haven't had their email address verified. Do not forget to do so asap otherwise the respective signatures won't be taken into account.
Has anyone answered Juleesant's message (below)?
I have just signed "Change of Nobel Peace Prize rule - Michael Jackson", incidentally noticing that I was the 92nd signer and that the word has thus to be quickly spread. Twitter account holders, please use this platform as well, as I have myself posted it to be retwitted.
Done one more!!
Sorry everyone for the duplication - I tryed to eliminate one of the two but couldn't find out how!
Lauriann - very nicely put but the problem is a week ago there were two, and now there are 4 or 5 of these petitions on just one site. The problem is as a member of public you can easily get registered and start any old petition you want, therefore, the involvement of the official fan sites will have little affect on the number of petitions that are being open. Two things that it might do is get the right target group and attract people with their official status. IOf course, it would be much better if it was done through a collective and official effort.
This should be addressed to the moderator(s) of this site, whom I have been trying to reach concerning this matter to no avail.
This forum should have already been opened weeks ago - although as named it only addresses a single one of the petitions going on. Rather, there should be a generic "petition" forum gathering the main petitions going on in order to prevent the scattering taking place... And I have a growing feeling of dissatisfaction as to the lack of attention and subsequent unimportance given to it.
Without getting into more fundamental considerations, the least implication of an official fan site should be the coordination of its activity in accordance with current events - and what events are involved here!
In a message posted days ago - which I can't trace, since practically none of what I have been posting is linked to my profile in terms of history -, I further mention:
"It is quite frustrating to notice the number of petitions scattered across Internet in an incoherent superposition of similar claims.
Needless to say, all such fragmented efforts are thus logically in vain...
Given the nature of the issues involved - Nobel Peace Prize nomination, Congress resolution, opening of a museum - respectively implying a massive number of signatures, I suggest that be set and passed on a single ''official petition link'' per matter.
Webmasters and moderators of Michael Jackson fan sites could coordinate efforts in order to temporarily have a visible message on their respective home pages inviting members and visitors to access by simple click a same webpage gathering all links to ongoing relevant petitions."
Needless to remind the importance of the point that these petitions ultimately aim to get across - and more specifically so the Nobel Peace Prize one(s). In parallel to an implicitly deserved humanitarian recognition, is here involved the restoration of a person's dignity - of a human being of exceptional level.
In fact the moderators of this site should, beyond the mere opening of a forum, look into what now appears to be a technicality getting in the way of a Nobel Peace Prize nomination and try their utmost to work around it. Unless they feel that MJ doens't actually deserve such recognition.
