I have been reading all your posts and, to be honest, I didn't really have an opinion about MJ/LMP. I mean, of course I knew about this, never saw any of the interviews she had there on the States and I might have listened to some words about this on the media, but I never paid any attention to those for the reasons we all know.
So I have just recently found out what this girl did after she left Michael. As some of you say, she has always admitted she fell in love with him. How much of love or infatuation... I really don't know and it is not my bussiness to judge that, but I know Mike did look happy by her side. His eyes would shine, he would play jokes on her (which she clearly didn't like at all), etc. I can't see it enjoying very much a water balloon fight.... I think... he loved her.. but then, she left and he ran into other woman so quickly, not a very "wise" move, maybe (but he had Paris and Prince, so I think he paid the price of that relationship, because his kids meant the world to him).
LMP is honest when she recognizes she fell in love with him, but the sad thing about this is seeing her ashamed of loving Michael. Now she is sorry she left him and hurted him so much. If she couldn't go on with him, if she didn't love him anymore, I think she has right to leave me (my personal opinion: real love, deep in your heart to move you as much as deciding to share your life with someone, you should give it a try, at least for a bit longer, but they went too fast into that relation so... well.. who knows).
Another very different thing is leaving the man and then going around the tabloids and heaters saying bad things about about Michael Jackson. She knew how much that would hurt him and how that would be used forever against him. She could and must have avoid doing that. I think most of us have in our history one of those relations you feel a bit ashamed of (I do have one!
)... but it is part of our lives and yes, we can feel ashamed about us on those days and talk about that with our closest friends. But this was completely different, because she knew very well any single thing she would say WAS TO BE USED against Michael and she went to the media!! Why going to the media to speak so bad about that? What was the use on exposing herself AND Mike on such a personal topic? I don't understand it and I think that is what many of us don't like about this.
When I read her post after Mike's passing by, I felt sorry for her and what she was (is) facing, but then I found this interview she gave to this woman Diane Sawyer. I had never seen it and to me, it is completely disgusting and insulting. The way that woman (Sawyer) refers to Michael is simply rude, mean and horrible and yes, it says a lot about the kind of human being she is. LMP is completely ashamed of loving Michael Jackson, but she shows it in a way that must have hurted Michael so much!! And Sawyer makes fun of LMP AND Mike in a nasty way. This, for me, says a lot about the kind of love LMP felt for Mike: not strong enough to fight for him, as she has recently recognize in her My Space. Maybe they should have taken a bit longer to really know each other... who knows.
She could have left him... ok... but then going to the media to make fun of him... that is completely different and it surely hurted Mike a lot

I just watched this, and unfortunately, I think LMP fell into the same thing most people in the US (with the help of the salacious media) fell into when MJ was going through such a difficult time. I do think she loved him, but I also think she's immature... when asked about that (whether she loved him), she has been consistent in all interviews saying that she did indeed love him. What gets worse as the time goes on is how she beats herself up for loving him, calling herself naive, stupid, gullible and so on.
I think it's terribly sad that our culture loves to tear people down. And from this distance, at this time after his death, it's easy to forget how completely vilified he was. It would have been very difficult (though not impossible) for her to fire back the question, "Why SHOULDN'T I have loved him?" She clearly wasn't strong enough to do so. But it's pretty clear from her blog post and what we've heard of her demeanor at the funeral that she wishes she would have.
MissingMike... I agree 100% with you about Katherine's wishes for his son (for all of them, I guess). Michael surely deserved a strong woman by his side, but also able to share his values and to accept he was different, special, unique... but also a girl strong enough to "share" her housband with millions of loving fans who loved Michael so much.
It must have been difficult for Katherine to see Michael getting into those relationships; because if LMP was good or not, I think things are way clearer with the mother of his kids... >:-/ But it was MJ the one to decide on these issues. Wowww... Katherine has really had a hard life dealing with all these situations about Michael.
Out of curiosity, I looked up when this show was on. It was taped an aired in March of 2005, right smack in the middle of the MJ trial.

I agree MJGurl. I wish Michael could have found someone outside of the entertainment industry. A sweet, humble, loving woman he could have shared his life with. I'm sure his mother would have liked him to settle down with a nice Jehovah's Witness girl.
PS: I had never heard this before, but Marlon is the only Jackson never to have been divorced. He and wife Carol are still together!

Yeah man, that's why I always skip the You Are Not Alone video! Something bothers me about it.
I can watch any other video or tour footage with a woman in it except for her. I think she said a lot of things after the relationship ended out of frustration and anger but seriously if you were his loving WIFE you would have shown him tough love. No way in hell would Michael have been gone for a couple of days and just showed up without a word from him. She could have helped him instead she got salty and said he was also surrounded by people that were not good. Well, what the heck is your role as his wife and soulmate! He is in LOVE with you, you are sleeping in his bed, you are whispering in his ear at night, and you are his future children's mother...you have plenty of influence but it would require work and you thought Michael was too much work for you so you left. Now you cry tears.
....I wasn't trying to go there but I really wish Michael had a woman that gave him the tough, unwavering love that he so desperately needed.
I'm telling yall this is why I was never a fan of that relationship, she's annoyed me and after I heard about that oprah interview I cant stand, Michael deserved better then her

I'm doing okay today. I feel like a lousy MJ fan, because I think I'm the only one here who didn't watch any of his burial coverage on tv. Yesterday my husband and I watched a lot of football (American). And Andy Roddick got beat in the US Open.

oh man, don't get me started on Priscilla Presley...this woman makes my blood boil. I remember watching the Oprah appearance in 05, and was amazed at lisa's changed demeanor when her mother walked out...she cowared like a little child.
Priscilla has turned Elvis' memory and home into a money-making circus and she trashed Elvis like mad in her 80's bio...even claimed he raped her...nice thing to reveal about the father of your child...
She said some stupid childish things about MJ on that interview...comparing graceland to Neverland...saying both men had pet chimps...so what? Michael loved his pets, it had nothing to do with Elvis having a pet chimp years before...
I could go on and on about Priscilla Presley, but I won't bore you all...you get the picture of what I think of her..

That was Michael's desparate attempt to have a family and get the tablids off his ass, which didn't work out bcz he realized they had no connection. Of course she was in love with him that's why she is so mad at him for not being on the same page. Was he in love? haha. Watch him speak about Brooke Shields and interracting with her verses LM.
Lisa's daughter already seems wiser than her. Lisa Marie has always been lost and depressed, not knowing what she wanted out of life, no motivation no direction. Just look at her frawned face at all times, lighten up and smile. I saw the video of her in MJ's audience and everybody was going nuts except for her sitting there like a dry stump. And then she wonders why he kicked her to the curb, who wants to be around Ms.Depression anyways?

Priscilla Presley is simply an incredible person and I don't say this in admiration.
Her and Elvis were not even together when he passed away. Did Elvis mention Priscilla in his will? NO. She manipulated her daughter, LMP's inheritance on various different levels for her own gain. Not only that but to use the word "AGENDA" in reference to Michael...well, Priscilla everyone knew that Michael held the rights to Elvis' songs NOT HER!!
So maybe Priscilla secretly siced her daughter on Michael in an effort to gain control of those rights, too. Not only that it was rumored during the marriage that Presley was the nonsupportive step-mother. The Oprah butting her nose in none of her business comments she gave pretty much gives us a glimpse into Priscilla's thoughts of Michael, the King of Pop but I'm not surprised considering when she had a chance to make a buck off of trashing LMP's father, her ex-husband, Elvis, the King of Rock, she sang like a mockingbird leaving Elvis' image as nothing more than a shallow druggie.

I remember it was alot worse than what they have on the site. Also the way they say it it sounds like she didn't know anything about it and yet she was at the wedding HMMMMMMMMMMM????????? You can see her in the one video they have on you tube I think I found the links though wikipedia. IN the artcles there it says that Lisa Maries first husband brother and wife were at the wedding too. Then when it is all done read a little about her and Scientology you'll see what I mean.

OPRAH WINFREY had rocker LISA MARIE PRESLEY recoiling in shock on her daytime talk show yesterday (29MAR05) when she asked if she'd ever had sex with MICHAEL JACKSON.
The talk show titan asked the question Presley has never answered when she posed, "Was it a consummated marriage?" referring to her guest's odd pairing with the King of Pop.
A stunned Presley shot back, "Oh my god, Oprah!" as audience members drew a deep breath, leading Winfrey to joke, "You all know damn well you wanna know."
Presley then answered the question with a simple, "Yep," adding, "To me, yes it was (real)."
But the shock wasn't over there - the singer's mother PRISCILLA PRESLEY, who joined her for the candid interview, stated, "I do think there was an agenda there... because he wanted children and he wanted her children."
The rocker shot her mother a furious look, and said, "Mother, what are you doing right now?"
Previously on the show, Priscilla told Oprah that she had always struggled with her daughter's romance with the King of Pop, which led to a 1994 wedding ceremony she wasn't invited to.
She said, "There's something very calculating and manipulative about how he does things... I mean there's Graceland and there's Neverland - there's a whole thread that goes into what he does.
"I want to believe he did (love her) because I would hate to believe that it was only for one thing, whether it be to maintain his popularity or to be associated somehow to her and her father. It's just hard for me to believe that people do that."
