I have already pre-ordered my Official MJ's OPUS last week on Monday, 9/28 and I'm SOO excited to receive it in time for Christmas. Michael was very excited about his OPUS and worked on it just three days prior to his untimely and tragic death. I plan to get a copy of his newly released MOONWALK so I can read it for the first time. The more I learn and discover about Michael that I didn't know, the more I LOVE HIM MORE!! I can't wait to see his "THIS IS IT" Movie on Wed., 10/28!! It will be BitterSweet!

For those commenting about "Dancing the Dream," fyi--Doubleday Books has recenlty republished it in Europe. If you go to ABEbooks.com, you can find a number of vendors who will ship it to you. FWIW, I bought mine from Waterstones.com for about $22.00. BTW, for those commenting on international fees, etc, yes, there were some, but the $22.00 was the total amount including all the fees. I didn't think it was bad at all, and it is an incredibly beautiful book and glimpse into Michael's soul.

On the down side, since it is apparently NOT been authorized by Michael's estate, it means that his children won't benefit from it. On the other hand, if the estate is not authorizing it, they won't benefit anyway, so you decide.

This is a message from the Worldwide Fan Community of Michael Jackson. We are trying to let all the fans around the world know we are totally opposed to Rabbi Shmuley's disgraceful betrayal of Michael's trust and confidence. Michael was constantly betrayed in life by people such as Shmuley and when Michael was charged in 2003, Shmuley turned his back on him and walked away. He shunned Michael then, and only now comes forward to trade off Michael's name and make money by trying to convince the fans to betray Michael with him. He does NOT believe Michael was innocent of the crimes he was charged of and does his best to belittle, shame and ' lead' on Michael in his book. Subtly, Shmuley is asking the fans not to honour Michael, not to respect him, not to know he was an enlightened being who gifted this planet and all on it with Immortal messages of love, peace, harmony and joy. We as a united fan community know Michael to be more than just his music - even though his music would be enough alone to love him. We know Michael to be someone who deserves our highest love and affection and gratitude for what he gave us all. bowser2112: In my version for “Dancing the Dream” – issued as 2nd reprint in august 2009 - the copy of “Dancing the Dream” belongs to Michael. Like the handling of percentages of his songs and music (called in Germany GEMA) there exists internationally an utilization society for authors, books, other kind of print media, tales, lyrics, … – named VG WORD (www.vgwort.de - sorry I know only the German translation). If Michael as an author or “Dancing the Dream” (also “Moonwalker” and “the OPUS”) will be registered there, the Estate as the legal successor of Michael will share in profits of all different kinds of realizing his written words (e-books, copies, internet, …) close to a single contract with publishers. Then the royalties have to be paid 2 years backwards. I’m sure the Estate knows this! I know this because we have done it for a French movie star who has also written an autobiography.

Okay, so we all know 'This Is It ' is an old track, and we know the brothers are on it in order to earn performance royalties. And yes, it's upsetting to think that what Michael considered an acceptable standard before a song should be publicly presented has clearly not been adhered to; but as far as musical legacies go, I don't think Michael Jackson's is in any danger. His catalogue, hits and musical ascendancy are peerless. His music transcends race, language and generations, more than that - it is, like Michael - immortal. There is nothing left for him prove. I say this to remind some of the fans who have posted on here ( and who I know in reality are only saying negative things because they are grieving so hard and wanted this release to be amazing ); - that the real battle is not with Sony, who, like any commercial company are naturally seeking to maximize their yield and profit.

It is important that we, as fans, remember Michael Jackson's estate ( which directly benefits his children) will receive 80% of the monies and profit share earned from ticket sales of the movie, the album, opus, posters, exhibitions and so on. The estate is by no means in the clear yet solvency-wise as there are a high number of debt claims and suits that have been made against the estate that need to be honoured. We must keep in mind the bigger picture. We, the worldwide fan community need to be organized, clear-thinking and ready to send any release of Michael's to the top of the billboard ( and any other ) chart to make sure Michael stays heard, recognized and relevant. Save your anger and your energy for those who deserve it. You know who they are. The real battle lies in making sure that those who hurt and adandoned, slandered and ultimately contributed to the degradation and erosion of Michael's joy and spirit while he lived; do not now profit from his death. I am of course talking about Rabbi Shmuley, Ian Halpern, Nancy Grace, Diane Dimond, Gloria Allred, Martin Bashir and Tom Sneddon. Redirect your rage and your anger away from Sony who are simply doing what all record giants do, and instead let us join together and boycott Shmuley's book. There is no need to buy it, it is available for download on this very site.
