BOYCOTT RABBI SCHMULEY'S ' THE MICHAEL JACKSON TAPES ' BOOK
Posted by Dazzlerillusio on Sep 30, 2009 at 1:09 PMBoteach and Michael had not been in correspondence for the last six years of Michael's life, because Boteach did not stand by Michael when he faced charges in 2003. We do not even know if Michael intended to do a book. For all we know, this could be a carrot stick to convince the fans to buy this shabbily conceived page-turner. Michael - so often duped in life, could have merely been going along with Boteach's own request that they tape their 'therapy sessions' - as many therapists do now. They clearly sound like therapy sessions, with Boteach introducing 'leading' questions into the stream of the conversation and offering advice back. As we all know Michael considered it unacceptable to criticize another artist publicly, therefore the fact that Boteach has released audio of Michael speaking a little uncharitably about Madonna demonstrates beyond doubt that these private tapes were never meant for sale or public release. As leading Rabbi, Michael Sternfield has commented on The Huffington Post recently, Schulmey has overstepped the line and remit of a Rabbi in breaching the confidence and trust placed in him. Despite Schulmey's constant protestations that Michael wanted this published to ' bring the family together,' I am certain most people with any intelligence will recognize this book for what it is: a shameless, money-making act of exploitative betrayal with staggering deception at its heart. Could all true fans please not buy this book. This is not how Michael wanted to reconnect with us, the concert was going to be his way of doing that. Please pass on this post to Facebook and other public access sites. We are a powerful fan community - let's also be a wise one. We are not here to enable people like Schmuley to profit from Michael's death.

Posted by rememberingmj on Sep 14, 2009 at 4:36 PMExcellent tribute to Michael Jackson, but only fitting, for without him where would the music video world be today, he always gave us something to look forward to, to be excited about because that's how much he loved what he did. My hats off to Janet, she did right by her big brother, she put her feelings and emotions into every word and every move probably like never before. Stay strong Janet, Michael is with you always.

Posted by MendicelloWilson59 on Sep 14, 2009 at 11:18 AMLets Face It...MTV wouldn't be what it is today without Michael Jackson's brilliance. The tribute to Michael was beautifully scripted; beginning with Madonna's heartfelt words and a kick ass performance by Janet Jackson. She put all of her talent and love into her beautifully choreographed number and she was magical!! Looking above her and throwing a kiss into the Heavens was beautiful. Great performance Janet and my hat is off to the awesome dancers as well!! I know every single entertainer in the room was as moved just as all of Michael's fans would be.
Michael would always leave his fans wanting more; so it seems appropriate that the trailer was only a short glimpse; nevertheless, I will be in a theater on October 28th to see the movei they've put together for all to see. Michael documented everything he did. It doesn't surprise me that the documentation of "This is It" is being made into a movie and I have already made plans to take the day off so I can see it.
The appearance of Joe Jackson certainly showed the world that he will do anything to continue to exploit his son, even in death.

Posted by lgblanton on Sep 14, 2009 at 11:33 AMASTOUNDING! Michael looked to be in RARE FORM and so full of JOY for this project. What a special gift this film will be for his children. Watching even these brief clips, it is TRULY HARD TO ACCEPT THAT HE IS REALLY GONE. Thank you, to Kenny Ortega, Michael's cast & crew, and all those involved for bringing his final dream to the screen... for all the world to see and celebrate what a COURAGEOUS, PRECIOUS, and DELIGHTFUL MAN he truly was!
