Re: Michael Jackson VMA Tribute
Posted by Ada on Sep 14, 2009 at 11:30 AMSo proud of Janet for putting it all together while fighting tears. She was strong and no doubt Michael was there with her. And a big thank you to Madonna for telling it like it is; what she said was exactly what we were feeling for a very long time...they didn't appreciate him or showed him the respect he deserved when he needed it most now it's too late and everybody is a loving fan of Michael's. Shame on you media, shame on you people.

Janet you were Awesome and you did MJJ, the children, Family, fans, and friends proud! It was beautiful to see how all the other entertainers were pulling for Janet and screaming! It is awesome how great it was when he and she were dancing together - WOW, I cried because it was so beautiful and it gave the world a glimpse of what they will miss until we meet him again.
Janet was holding back the tears; however, many of the other entertainers cried openly! After looking at many of the other performances as the show proceeded, they seem second rate in comparison to MJJ tribute and Janet's performances!
Madonna was beautiful in your great memory of MJJ and acknowleging how MJJ was abandon as he tried to raise his children and rebuild his career! Team MJJ is so happy with the tribute and the movie trailer; I just wish MJJ was here in the flesh to be doing his tour rather than a movie. I'm still crying I miss him so much. Praying for Paris, Prince, Blanket, Mrs.Jackson, and sibling - I know from experience that this is difficult for them.
I just left Oprah a note on her website telling her I love her as well as MJJ but I have loved MJJ longer and deeper; therefore, I expect more from her than what MTV did with the VMA Tribute. Please honor MJJ as he deserve for his great legacy he has left us to enjoy! I reminded her of his 3 children, mother, siblings, family, friends, millions of fans and employees, business associate, business partners.
I hate Kanya was such a child at the VMAs but perhaps it occured because the entire VMA and all the performances should have been dedicated to MJJ. The rest of the show was okay ; however, it seem like the rest of the show was tense and kind of went down hill after the MJJ's tribute and first award for Taylor's female video and Kanye antics! Note: We should show some compassion for Kanye as well he has been spiraling for a while; some of the comments on MTV goes to far. I'm glad he is taking some time off and I hope he sees a pyschiatrist during this time.

Posted by JanneA on Sep 15, 2009 at 2:08 PMJanet, I feel for you. Not only did you do the job I was expecting to see, your face shown with exactly the feeling I was feeling after Madonna's true speech.
I have a brothers and sisters wall with a 3ft by 2.5ft collage of Scream, which I put together one night leaving a gossip filled neighborhood party. It took me into the morning. I am 52 and will probably never get over Michael.
I got up and danced right along with you, Janet. Everyone should learn that dance break - Talk to the hand! Signed, a friend in Chicago.

Posted by JanneA on Sep 18, 2009 at 8:16 AMIn the beginning of the Scream segment, - Janet's expert dancers were wearing masks. How beautiful was that! Thank you for honoring our King of Pop.

BOYCOTT RABBI SCHMULEY'S ' THE MICHAEL JACKSON TAPES ' BOOK
Posted by Dazzlerillusio on Sep 30, 2009 at 10:16 AMBoteach and Michael had not been in correspondence for the last six years of Michael's life, because Boteach did not stand by Michael when he faced charges in 2003. We do not even know if Michael intended to do a book. For all we know, this could be a carrot stick to convince the fans to buy this shabbily conceived page-turner. Michael - so often duped in life, could have merely been going along with Boteach's own request that they tape their 'therapy sessions' - as many therapists do now. They clearly sound like therapy sessions, with Boteach introducing 'leading' questions into the stream of the conversation and offering advice back. As we all know Michael considered it unacceptable to criticize another artist publicly, therefore the fact that Boteach has released audio of Michael speaking a little uncharitably about Madonna demonstrates beyond doubt that these private tapes were never meant for sale or public release. As leading Rabbi, Michael Sternfield has commented on The Huffington Post recently, Schulmey has overstepped the line and remit of a Rabbi in breaching the confidence and trust placed in him. Despite Schulmey's constant protestations that Michael wanted this published to ' bring the family together,' I am certain most people with any intelligence will recognize this book for what it is: a shameless, money-making act of exploitative betrayal with staggering deception at its heart. Could all true fans please not buy this book. This is not how Michael wanted to reconnect with us, the concert was going to be his way of doing that. Please pass on this post to Facebook and other public access sites. We are a powerful fan community - let's also be a wise one. We are not here to enable people like Schmuley to profit from Michael's death.

Posted by Dazzlerillusio on Oct 01, 2009 at 2:01 PMBoteach and Michael had not been in correspondence for the last six years of Michael's life, largely because Boteach did not stand by Michael when he faced charges in 2003. We do not even know if Michael intended to do a book. For all we know, this could be a carrot stick to convince the fans to buy this shabbily conceived page-turner. Michael - so often duped in life, could have merely been going along with Boteach's own request that they tape their 'therapy sessions' - as many therapists do. They clearly sound like therapy sessions, with Boteach introducing 'leading' questions into the stream of the conversation and offering advice back. And if a book was intended, Michael would have certainly wanted to edit it. It speaks volumes that when in 2005 the court case was behind him, Michael did not attempt to reinitiate ties with Schulmey or publish the tapes in his lifetime. As a leading Rabbi Michael Sternfield commented in The Huffington Post recently, Schulmey has overstepped the remit of a Rabbi in breaching the confidence and trust placed in him. Despite Schulmey's protestations that Michael wanted this published to ' bring the family together,' I am certain most people with a modicum of intelligence will recognize this book for what it is - a shameless, money-making act of exploitative betrayal and greed. We are a powerful community and the movement for complete vindication of Michael's name needs to be a patient one. We all long to hear Michael's voice, some may even need it - this isn't the way. Please don't reward Schulmey for how he treated Michael while he lived. On Dateline, he called Michael a misogynist with a 'messiah complex ' and may well have been guilty of 'unspeakable crimes.' He did not stand for Michael and is most definitely not his friend. Shulmey, instead pursued the subtextual and unspoken line that Michael may have been guilty of molestation, but shouldn't be blamed for it due to his own childhhod abuse. This is a dangerous book for Michael's name and legacy, and as a powerful fan community we must not support it. We are strong if we stand together. Michael asked us if we would be there; my answer is - yes.
