Happy Father's Day Mr Jackson
So anyways, I'm sitting here thinking about the day History came out. Me and Bryan were homeless and living in my friend's living room. She was one of my customers from Polo. Anyways, I had just been in a car accident and had a rental car. My rental car only had a cassette player so my first copy of History I bought was on cassette. My friend lived in Westwood so the day it came out I was driving around Westwood bumping the GH side. People on the street were looking and smiling. I was driving slowly. Anyways, the first time I listened to side one was in the rental car in a parking structure. Just sat there and smoked and listened to it. I found it kind of scary. Not kind of, it scared me. I didn't listen to it much again until like 99 when Phillip our German exchange student used to play it.
So anyways, I was thinking to myself. Why do I love the 70s so much? Well, I will tell you why. In the 70s, it was song after song, nonstop Jackson 5 year round. Then all of the sudden it was Thriller, Victory and then nothing for 5 years. Do you realize I had to wait my whole high school for Bad to come out. That was like the longest 5 years of my life. Oh my God. Of course, I love the 70s.
