Michael Jackson Senator John Lewis receives the Presidential Medal of Freedom
Congratulations to John Lewis. He deserves it for all of his work with non-violence over the last 50 years. I love him.
Which brings me to Michael Jackson. His untimely, unnecessary death robbed him of all the future honors and recognitions due him in his life. I am almost sure that had he lived long enough we would surely be watching him proudly receive honor after honor for all of the musical strides he has made for others, all the innovations he created and mastered, all the philanthropical work, so much over all these years. I know it would have happened. He would have also been a worthy recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom which is the highest award given to a non military citizen for unequaled service to preserve the freedoms of others. His belief in healing the planet through love and caring for children and all the earth’s resources and his unyielding efforts to promote it, circling the world some 6 times over giving of his time, his resources, his words and his deeds, would have made him a likely candidate. He walked the walk. He helped so many. He did so much. Michael Jackson was ahead of his time. He had been moving in the right direction all of his life. Nothing swayed him. His obvious, sincere love for children and his firm belief that our love for them as parents, our love for each other as human beings, would be monumental in the plan of the earth’s healing certainly puts him in the right arena. He had a passion to continue to care for and be the voice of children regardless of any obstacles placed before him. He was a gentle giant, a warrior . Hopefully, one day n history, the honor will still be awarded to his children on his behalf. He deserves this and so much more that thanks to Conrad Murray he will never be ale to walk up proudly and accept. I hope the world doesn’t forget.
