Where were you and where was I all the Christmases I could have enjoyed having you in my life. Now an emptiness engulfs my being as I sit in a dark, quiet corner waiting for midnight. This is the very first Christmas when I really even got to know you. It doesn't seem fair how much of you I have missed all my life.

Yet, I am gladdened to know that you are resting in Jesus' embrace, singing with the angels, and loving us from above. You are at peace and beyond the reach of this world's cruelty and injustice.

You are deeply missed, Angel. I love you so much.
