Michael Jackson The Beauty That Was Michael Jackson
I posted this blog a couple of weeks ago, but I think it is time to post it again considering all the comments I have been reading recently about MJ from so-called fans and media alike. I am unnerved to see that his appearance continues to be of the most over discussed things about him, even in the wake of his sad and untimely death. I find this on my mind again because I just read the most disparaging post about him on a forum thread, by a supposed fan.
We all know that Michael was always beautiful on the inside - it is what we all first fell in love with. That soft voice, his sweetness, that innocence, the dare I say, sexiness (sorry MJ, but you were), which has nothing to do with looks, that ability make each person feel as if they are the only person in the room among thousands.
It is a little silly to talk about his physical looks when he is so many other things but I will go ahead and do so. After all, I love discussing things of beauty, and he was lucky enough to have an exterior to match his interior.
I think it is sad that people made him so self conscious about his looks throughout his life that he felt ugly and undesirable, though he was always very, very handsome. It always breaks my heart and makes me cry when I hear him say stuff like he avoided mirrors and turned out the lights because he did not want to look at himself
In addition, having a pigmentation disease like vitaligo probably did not help him feel any better about his looks. I cannot believe some people still think that he made himself white on purpose, even some that call themselves his fans have not bothered to do the research into this skin disease and its effects. Other so-called fans acknowledge the disease, but think that it made him somehow less beautiful, some have even went as far as to say ugly. How could they?
Research shows that people that suffer from this disease are usually very self-conscious and reclusive - embarassed to be seen in public and have few friends. Michael didn't stop making music, giving concerts, meeting with fans. But who would have blamed him if he did? No, instead of hiding himself away from the world, MJ kept up his public appearances, opening himself up to cruel ridicule. When he was forced to discuss his condition, it helped countless others suffering from the same disease. To this day, the vitaligo foundations thank him for helping to bring recognition and to remove some of the stigma attatched to vitaligo.
But what it comes down to is this: Michael Jackson was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Not "He was beautiful but...". Not "he was beautiful when....". Not "he was beautiful until...". No, he was BEAUTIFUL, period!!! No matter what his beauty was never, ever, lost. His lovely, dark chocolate skin was beautiful. His glowingly white, ivory skin was beautiful. His beauty was never, ever, lost. That is because that magical smile, that could melt any heart, those beautiful, sweet, pure eyes, that sparkle with every glance (the same eyes he passed on to little Blanket), NEVER EVER changed. Because of that, the beauty that was Michael Jackson never changed. Regardless of what anyone says, MJ's outer beauty never ceased to match his inner beauty. Michael Jackson was beautiful till the day he died (the pic in my profile proves it).
End of story, RIP beautiful MJ.

Posted by skintreatment on Feb 06, 2010 at 3:08 AMGood post, interesting to hear the reasoning behind people not going by bike. I'm glad there is a
documentary exploring this issue a bit more. I like the whole if you want to know how bike friendly
a city is just count the number of girls on bikes
