I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
I was born and raised in Michigan, home of the MOTOWN SOUND and while my parents enjoyed listening to the Temptations, Smokey, the Surpremes, etc, they bought records of the Jackson 5 for us kids. I've had a crush on Michael from the start, lol! He was supposed to be my husband, people, lololol!!! My older sisters battled for Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Marlon; Michael was ALL MINE.
Losing him feels like losing a member of my family. He's always been a part of my life and I miss him terribly. Rest in PEACE, Michael. I love you....

I'm guessing late teens to 21 years old. Even though he recorded and released the song in the late 80s, he probably wrote it and/or worked on it years earlier.
