Michael did NOT write You Are My Life... It was written by Babyface, Carole Bayer Sager and John McClain. Originally, it was titled You Are My World. When it came time to record, MJ changed the lyric to you are my LIFE, which he prefered. Thus, he was then awarded a writing credit on the song. The song appears on his 2001 album, INVINCIBLE, which was released in October of that year. Most of the songs appearing on the album were written in 1999-2001.
